Like many transplants to Tallahassee, I moved here to go to school (in my case, FSU), fell in love (with both a specific man and the overall community) and ultimately decided to stay and raise our family (two beautiful little girls, two dogs, one cat and one horse!) here in North Florida.
I love the abundant recreational opportunities that are available here — outstanding biking and equestrian trails, picturesque lakes, natural springs and world-class kayaking locales are all within a quick drive from the heart of downtown.
Plus, as someone who craves cultural stimulation, I couldn’t be happier with the local theatre, music and visual arts scenes. Tallahassee’s festivals — including the Southern Shakespeare Festival, Chain of Parks, Florida Jazz & Blues Festival and Springtime Tallahassee — are among the best in the United States, not to mention how many extraordinary acts we get to enjoy via FSU’s Opening Nights performance series. We are truly spoiled here in the Florida Capital!
While relocating to a new community can be challenging, those considering a move could not do better than Tallahassee. We have great people, outstanding amenities and a wide variety of neighborhoods and home styles — there’s something for everyone and all that’s missing is you!
