The Winter Festival kicks off the holiday season with a magical Lighting Ceremony, illuminating Tallahassee’s signature live oaks with thousands of lights, followed by the Jingle Bell Run, a nighttime parade, and loads of food and live entertainment. Locals bid goodbye to the cold months and welcome in the warmth with a similar event called Springtime Tallahassee, which also includes foot races, food, music, and one of the largest parades in the Southeast.
Recently named the #1 Fine Art Show in the nation, Lemoyne’s Chain of Parks Art Festival in April always makes local’s event calendar. Local artists and vendors sell their wares in downtown parks while musicians jam out on the main stage. Sampling local cuisine and brews while meandering through booths full of sculpture, photography, and mixed media creations is always a highlight of Tallahassee in the spring.
